The May candle combines brown raffia and leather in a diagonal weave, handmade by women from the Essaouira cooperative. The material holds the grain of leather against the softer texture of raffia. The Amber fragrance opens on amber and cistus flower, moves through a leather accord and patchouli, then settles on musk and ambergris.
Côté Bougie has joined forces with a women’s cooperative in Essaouira for the work of raffia. Thus, this collaboration allows the women of the region to come out of isolation and participate in their emancipation, to work together on the production and sale of products resulting from their talent.
