The Mogador candle carries the old name of Essaouira, the town where it's made. Its raffia sleeve is hand-woven, strand by strand, by women from a local cooperative. Wax and plant fibre meet in a plain, unfussy object. The Mon Bel Oranger fragrance opens on orange blossom and orange peel, then moves into a heart of neroli and white jasmine, bright and floral. A candle named for its town before its scent.
In the orchards of Taza, Fez and beyond, the orange trees of Marrakech burst forth in their vibrant orange hue, warming hearts in winter. Inspired by the sensory richness of orange tree leaves and twigs, our flowers fragrance combines neroli, bergamot, petitgrain, lavender and vetiver for an enchanting olfactory experience.
Côté Bougie has joined forces with a women’s cooperative in Essaouira for the work of raffia. Thus, this collaboration allows the women of the region to come out of isolation and participate in their emancipation, to work together on the production and sale of products resulting from their talent.
