At Côté Bougie Marrakech, every candle begins with the meeting of craftsmanship, material, design and fragrance.
Hand-shaped ceramic, woven raffia, Tamegroute pottery… each collection explores a different material and gesture, reinterpreted through contemporary lines.
Our candles are hand-poured with vegetable wax and paired with fragrances composed with our perfumers in Grasse.
Objects made to live in the home, and fragrances that invite you to travel.

Voir le produit A Côté Bougie scented candle is admired before it is lit. Placed on a console table, a coffee table or a windowsill, it brings character to the room through its shape, material and colour. Then comes the flame, followed by a fragrance that slowly rises into the air: the brightness of mandarin, the freshness of mint tea and the depth of oud wood.
Since 2003, the Maison has been creating its candles in Marrakech, where Saïda Kadiri poured her first designs. More than twenty years later, each creation is still conceived as a piece in its own right: a vessel shaped by an artisan, hand-poured wax and a fragrance composed in Grasse.
Ribbed or zebra-patterned ceramics, woven raffia and Tamegroute pottery from the Drâa Valley: each collection draws on Moroccan craftsmanship and reinterprets it through a contemporary design. As every piece is shaped by hand, subtle variations in colour or texture make each one unique.
Once the wax has been consumed, the vessel does not disappear. It becomes a trinket dish, brush holder or plant-pot cover and continues to live in your home.
Our candles are hand-poured using plant-based soy wax and a cotton wick. The plant-based wax melts slowly and gradually releases the fragrance, both when the candle is unlit and while it is burning. The flame remains calm and the fragrance enveloping, without ever overpowering the room.
Imagined in Marrakech, our fragrances are composed with perfumers in Grasse, the historic capital of perfumery. Koutoubia, Mandarine Majorelle and Mon Bel Oranger: each one bears the name of a place or image that inspired it.
In a living room or dining room, a woody or oriental scented candle creates a warm atmosphere for entertaining. In a bedroom, choose a more intimate musky or gourmand fragrance. In a bathroom, fresh citrus notes extend the feeling of cleanliness.
Small formats are suitable for intimate rooms or for discovering a new fragrance. Large formats and bowl candles fragrance more spacious rooms.
Avoid choosing an overly intense fragrance for a small room, so that the scent remains pleasant from day to day.
Depending on the size of the candle, our models offer between 40 and 400 hours of burn time.
Because it is as beautiful to look at as it is to smell, a handcrafted scented candle is a lasting gift. It is ideal for a housewarming, a birthday or simply as a way of saying thank you. For design enthusiasts, our collaborations with Maison Sarah Lavoine and Fanny Lopez bring together two creative perspectives in a single piece.
A few simple steps will preserve the beauty of the wax and the quality of the fragrance diffusion.
Yes, absolutely! Every candle that leaves our workshops is the result of meticulous work, from the fragrance and wax to the vessel.
We work with renowned master perfumers and highly skilled artisans to offer you products of exceptional quality.
It depends on its size.
For a size S candle, between 1 and 2 hours.
For a size M candle, allow 2 to 3 hours.
For a size L candle or larger, you can burn it for up to 4 hours.
To avoid pollutants and preserve indoor air quality, avoid paraffin wax, which is petroleum-based, as well as phthalates and CMR substances—carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic to reproduction—which are often found in synthetic fragrances.
There is no such risk with our candles. They contain none of these substances and have been made with the greatest care to ensure your complete satisfaction.
This is known as tunnelling: the first burn was too short. Let the candle burn until the entire surface has melted, without exceeding 4 hours.
Yes. Remove the remaining wax using hot water, and the ceramic or raffia vessel becomes a decorative object in its own right.
