SCENTED CANDLE BAB ( Kaki )

A Bab is the doorway of the Marrakech medina, the threshold between street and the privacy of a riad — the starting point Fanny Lopez took for this collaboration with Côté Bougie. In this deep kaki edition, the sculpted ceramic relief traces the curve of a traditional arch, each piece hand-finished. The deep kaki glaze gives the piece its own depth. Its fragrance, Musc Charmeur, sits in a spicy oriental register: cinnamon and violet flower at the top, cardamom and bergamot at heart, then tonka bean, patchouli and sandalwood underneath. Once the candle is spent, the ceramic stays behind as an object.
